General Instructions

  1. Log into your Domain Registrar
  2. Open the Domain Manager or DNS management panel
  3. Select the Domain name you wish to add to Domains4Good
  4. Edit Host Records, possibly labelled Advanced Settings or DNS Zone File
  5. Create a new CNAME record
  6. In the Host Name/Alias field: enter either " * " or "www" [without quotes]
  7. In the Value / Destination field: enter domains4good.org
  8. Save settings

Alternatively to you can update your domain’s current A (address) record to 192.237.179.240.

How It Works

  1. Redirect

    Add your parked domain by setting Domains4Good.org as your CNAME alias record with your registrar.

  2. Advocate

    Submit your favorite causes to be featured on Domains4Good.

  3. Vote

    Vote for your favorites you'd like to send sparkles of traffic to. And, don't forget to share Domains4Good with your friends!

To Access the Zone File Editor
  1. Log in to your Account Manager.
  2. Next to Domains, click Launch.
  3. From the DNS menu, select DNS Manager, and then click Edit Zone for the domain name you want to update.
To Add a CNAME Record
  1. Go to the Zone File Editor for the domain name you want to update.
  2. Click Add New Record. The Add DNS Record window displays.
  3. From the Record type list, select CNAME (Alias).
    • Complete the following fields:
    • Enter an Alias Name — “ * “ or “www” [without quotes] for the alias assignment.
    • Points to Host Name — Enter Domains4Good.org as the host name you want the alias to point to.
    • TTL — Select how long the server should cache the information.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Click Save Zone File, and then click OK. The new CNAME record displays in the CNAME (Alias) section.

To Add a CNAME Record

    • Edit any of the following fields:

    • TTL — Select how long the server should cache the information.
    • Click Save Zone File, and then click OK.
